Favorite Clean Beauty Products

Anyone who really knows me, knows that I’ve been obsessed with beauty products for years now! For as long as I can remember I’ve always loved make up and used to sneak into my mom and sister’s products when they weren't home! For me, make up has always been a fun way to use my creative side and honestly, I find it so relaxing to sit there and take my time as I apply it. Throughout the last couple of years I have really gotten into watching Youtube beauty channels and would always NEED to purchase all the amazing products that they were loving which usually included one too many trips to Ulta and Sephora!

I knew that “clean beauty” existed but to be honest, I never had any interest in going down that road. To me, that meant giving up all of my beloved products that I had been using for years now and that just wasn’t going to happen! It wasn’t until recently that my friends started talking about how they were switching over to clean products and eventually started dipping into clean beauty. I will admit I was curious so I did what I normally do and started You-tubing clean beauty channels. And let me just say that there is a big need for more of those channels but I did find a couple that I liked and started to get intrigued as I was watching video after video of products that appeared to work great and were also not full of harmful chemicals!

The more I researched the more that clean non-toxic products started to become more appealing to me! But I knew that it would be a challenge to find products that I loved and that performed just as good as my main stream products. But I mean who doesn’t love a good challenge right? Especially one that involved buying and testing out a bunch of new products!?

It’s been a couple of months now and I’m happy to report that I have found some of my favorite new products that I can actually feel good about putting them on my face. In fact, I love clean beauty products so much that I decided to become a consultant for Beauty Counter!! Which if you’re unfamiliar with- it is a company that is committed to providing safer products for skincare and makeup. One of the things that drew me to Beauty Counter was learning that they ban over 1,500 chemicals from their products! Just to give you a reference- in Europe, more than 1,400 chemicals are banned from their products but the U.S. has only “partially” banned 30 of those chemicals. Crazy right?! Especially for someone who has struggled with infertility, it really got me thinking how important it is to regulate not only what goes in my body but what goes on it as well.

I’m happy that I have found some products that truly do work just as good as my other products and I’ll be the first to say, that I haven’t completely gotten rid of every “non-clean” product that I’ve used for years but for my everyday routine, I really have tried to stick to as clean of a regimen as possible! I’m not striving to be perfect just trying to make better choices and without compromising the quality of the products I use! I hope you guys enjoy my take on my favorite clean beauty products and maybe you will find something you love too!

GRESSA Corrective Serum Foundation: This foundation honestly blew my mind. The fact that it’s a serum is just a crazy concept that I never thought could work for my oily skin but it actually is magical! It’s a serum and a foundation which means that its going to give you great coverage all while being beneficial for your skin. I think it’s definitely a full coverage foundation but you can totally sheer it out if you’d like and the best part is that you seriously only need a few drops to cover your whole face! Oh and my favorite way to apply it is with a damp beauty sponge!

CLOVE + HALLOW - Conceal and Correct Concealer: So the mission to find a good full coverage concealer that didn’t crease in five minutes was probably the hardest task of the mission to switch over to clean products. But atlas, I found this gem and it’s the closest thing I’ve found to my beloved Tarte Tape Shape concealer. This concealer provides great coverage while still being lightweight and it doesn’t crease once I set it! I love it and will probably continue to use it for a long time to come!

Beauty Counter Mattifying Powder: I’m a little high maintenance when it comes to setting powders so I use two different ones but I do love this mattifying powder to set my under eyes and my t-zone area! I find it does a good job at keeping the oil at bay without making me too dry! This is a translucent powder so it doesn’t provide any coverage but that’s why I like it for under the eyes especially! Oily girls- you can’t go wrong with this one!

Alima Pure Satin Matte Foundation: This is a new find to me but so far I really like it! I use it for setting my serum foundation but you can also use it completely on its own if you’re wanting a lighter coverage look! They have a ton of shades to choose from which is great- my shade is warm 3. It also leaves your skin with a healthy glow due to it being a satin matte finish and I think that those with dry skin would really love this! Don’t worry if your oily, it still works great too if you don’t mind a subtle glow!

Lily Lolo Sculpt and Glow Contour Duo: Finding the perfect bronzer shade was also a bit of a struggle when searching for clean beauty products. I took a chance on this bronzer/highlighter duo and I’m so glad I did because I love both of these powders! The bronzer shade is the perfect contour shade that is also warm enough to use as an all over bronzer! And the highlight is a pretty champagne color that gives the prettiest glow to your cheek bones and inner eyes! Plus, I love that this little duo comes together in one compact which makes it great for traveling!

Beauty Counter Satin Powder Blush: When I first used this blush It reminded me so much of the infamous NARS blush in Orgasm. I got the shade Nectar and it’s the perfect pinky peach color with gold shimmer! I know I’ll be using this shade a lot this summer and I definitely want to try more shades because I really like this formula!

Kjaer Weis Cream Highlighter: Okay so as Kathleen Lights would say “dassss expensive” but I really do love this cream highlighter and I have no regrets from splurging on it! The entire Kjaer Weis brand is one of the high-end clean beauty companies and their products really do feel luxurious. The packaging is heavy and it’s very beautiful and the product really speaks for itself. When it comes to highlighters, I gravitate towards ones that give a subtle glow and that’s exactly what this one does! I make sure to put it on before I set my face with powder and it gives the perfect “glow from within” look to my check bones! Kjaer Weis also offers refillable packaging so that you save money when you repurchase their products! PS. the shade I got was Ravishing and it’s a warm champagne color!

Fitglow Lip Color Serum: This quickly became one of my favorite and most used lip products! It’s a plant-based serum that provides color all while hydrating + plumping your lips! I got the shade Nudie which is the perfect everyday “your lips but better” color and I can’t wait to try more shades!

HAN Skincare Cosmetics Eye Shadow: I was looking for the perfect everyday shade that I could throw on pretty quickly and one that I could use all over the eye for a really simple look. I’m happy to say that the shade Charming was exactly what I was looking for! I have been using it every single day either on its own or with a little bronzer in the crease for added dimension. Charming is a taupe/beige with shimmer and it’s a new staple in my beauty routine!

I hope you enjoyed a peek into my everyday beauty routine with my favorite clean beauty products! Like I said previously, you don’t have to wake up one day and completely switch to clean products but if it is something that you’re interested in- I would highly recommend any of these brands and products! They are a safer alternative to most beauty products and they perform at the same level as all my old school faves!

Also, I quickly realized that shopping for clean products was a bit of a challenge but I did find some of my favorite websites to shop from so I thought i’d share those as well!
